Friday, 13th March, at sea, 18 degrees but sunny
There were no white tops to the waves this morning but it was noticeably cooler as we were walking, but another beautiful sunrise.

After our late night last night and not going to bed until after 10.00 – shock, horror, I felt a bit lacklustre and tired this morning. I think it is an age thing. Nevertheless, I got up and did my laps and even cut my finger nails to improve my ukulele playing.
It is difficult to think of being home by this time next week.
I went off to ukulele determined not to take part in the concert next week, because I am missing so much of the lessen by leaving early for Bridge – and then Lynn my ukulele chum who was too unwell to take part in the last one, said I must go because she feels she can’t go without me….. Huurrumph. The worst thing is that I have somehow gravitated to the front row – all my nightmares in one! Maybe I could catch something debilitating but not fatal before then!
I was back in the boon docks at Bridge. Today was a cracker! I can only relate the feelings I have in these sessions to how I used to feel in the maths class at school! Never mind. Only a few sessions to go! Following Bridge we had our usual walk on the promenade deck, but today I decided to saunter. While I was sauntering I noticed that there was a distinct dark blue line on the horizon. Obviously it was just a false horizon phenomenon or something but it was interesting I thought …

The water around the ship was a glorious colour.

My late night had left me in need of a siesta, so after lunch I had a quick snooze and then went off to do my crosswords. Maria was sunbathing near by so we had a chat while Matthew and Keith had gone off to hear more words of wisdom from Mr. Gooch.
It was a dressing up night, the penultimate before we go home, but we decided we did not need another big meal so we stayed relaxed and went up to the Horizon buffet up on Deck 12. On the way, the sun had set and the sky was interesting so we had a bit of a photograph session to capture it.

Afterwards we decided to have a cocktail, but found we could not do that without dressing up to go into the bars – so hey presto we turned what we were wearing into dressing up clothes! While we weren’t as exotically attired as some of those strutting their stuff – we were allowed in, had our cocktail and returned to the cabin, What fun!
It is another clocks forward night. Tomorrow is our last day at sea before the Azores.
